Christy Foos  provides respectful therapeutic interventions for People who suffer from, addiction, grief, PTSD, depression, anger, anxiety and conduct disorders in South Central Kansas.  Alcohol and Drug (SAP) assessments are included in the services she offers.

Christy is a Master Social Worker Graduate from Newman University. She is in the process of earning her LSCSW  and a PhD in Medical Social Work.  She has experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders and mental health conditions,  individuals in the legal system, the aging population and their families.  Another area of interest is working with children who have mental and behavioral health problems.  She has worked with kiddos in the juvenile system and served as a foster parent for at-risk-youth.  She is a Licensed Master Addiction Counselor, Licensed Master Social Worker, and Licensed Addiction Counselor by Behavioral Science Regulatory Board of Kansas, as well as a Substance Abuse Professional through National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counsel and Department of Transportation (DOT).  She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a clinical therapy recognized by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  EMDR is an evidenced based successful psychotherapy technique that helps people overcome trauma, grief, anxiety, phobias, depression, and many other disorders without having to relive their traumatic  experience. EMDR can be an effective therapeutic approach for war Veterans, victims of domestic violence, rape, abandonment, people who are diagnosed with addiction and other disorders. 

Christy's undergraduate study is in Business Administration which she earned at Friends University  and she has several years experience writing business plans, assisting with start up business, writing policies, procedures, public speaking, and facilitating workshops.
